Season 2018/19 of the Fantasy Premier League has been bubbling away nicely. Bubbles have been burst, swear-words have been uttered at under-performing players (both in English and Portuguese), bandwagons have been boarded and jumped off (Hi Salah, Bye Salah) and wildcards have been wasted wildly.
It has mostly been fun (when transfers and captain selections work as planned), a bit maddening (like Guardiola’s selection roulette) and for some FPL managers, it has been … ( ). *pretty blank, Giroud Style*
In our PFLEF leagues, the competition at the top is as fierce as the actual PL title race. A few veterans have started strongly but there are some other managers punching above their weight like Bournemouth’s Steady Eddie. Howe would they manage over the next 30 gameweeks? We’ll keep you updated. What we do know for fact is that two managers have excelled in the first couple months and deserve recognition.
A round of applause for August’s Manager of the Month, Justice Akuchie, whose ”RIP Tiki Taka” scored the highest total of 235 points. He laid to rest all forms of tippy tappy football and inspired his League 1 team to play energetically. Congrats, Justice. It’ll be unjust if you don’t do this award justice. Please justify the just nature of this praise. #JustDoIt
One United fan excelled in September. I literally mean it that way because OneUnitedFanTrev scored 302 points, the highest total for the month. Congrats Trevor Smith, September’s Manager of the Month. I hope you don’t start getting man-hunted if your team slips down the League 2A table. If it does happen, just transfer Pogba into your squad and unlock a huge load of points by putting the captain’s band on him till the end of the season.
Below are pictures showing the current state of play in our various leagues. The excitement continues. Stay tuned for the next update..
