20-20 vision, we can see clearly now. Fantasy Premier League is clearly becoming more mainstream. The best chessmaster in the world is an avid player and briefly topped the rankings worldwide in December. Popular professional players like Sterling and Robertson are talking more about how they enjoy playing FPL. In fact, the disgust and anger Aguero showed recently when Villa spoiled Man City’s clean sheet in their 6-1 win suggested he had a Man City defender in his FPL team. Ha!!
So, this is serious business nowadays. Over 7 million people partake in the joys and frustrations of team selection, player transfers, captain choices and the choices for chip usage. Here is our update on how people are faring in our ever competitive leagues.
November’s Manager of the Month was Femi Omomeji with his Lala Fanatics in League 2A edging out League 2B’s Twchaa FC, 286 points to 285.
December’s Manager of the Month was Aziz Mfede. His Mfede Utd team in League 2B scored 398 points to win the award ahead of DrSaikat’s Huggers and Kloppers.
Congrats to Femi and Aziz.
With more than half of the season gone, the pressure is getting higher. Promotion and relegation battles, race for the crown of Draft League Champion and a tough dash for cash in the Money League. The current state of affairs in all these leagues is depicted in the pictures below.
So there we have it. There is still so much to play for and with the addition of another wildcard, there is another chance to go wild and revamp your squad if needed. In the meantime, keep an ear out for my tips on the FPL segment of our Footiefantasy podcast. Seeing as I have 13 years of experience in FPL and I am currently leading multiple leagues both in Draft and Classic formats, I probably know a thing or two. 😉
Till next time,
