Here we are with another edition of Trolls of the Week. We can consider this the sequel to the Ludicrous edition, posted a few weeks back.
Soundtrack to this is from Ludacris featuring Nate Dogg (RIP). The hit single, Area Codes.
Many epic posts have been accumulated over the past few days from area codes in different continents. Here is our pick of the bunch.
Nargeh brings a different perspective to things as he scolds Leroy for doing inSane things in City’s 3-0 win at the Emirates. AniQs then (coincidentally) has a picture of Wenger looking quite sad, just beneath Nargeh’s post about Mustafi. Good team-work from two people in different area codes.
This is the type of wordplay a rapper like Ludacris would be proud of. Arsenal were definitely put on a long thing by Longji after their loss to Brighton.
More wordplay, this time from the Ogbeni himself. We really have some talented people amongst us, dropping pun after pun for fun.
The creativity that went into this one is highly commendable. Justice was served to the not so hot Spurs in the Champions League. And Mr. Obi smartly incorporates the cock seen on Tottenham’s club badge into his troll. Let’s crow in approval.
The simplicity. The brutality. The fatality.
Losing to Man City by a single goal isn’t much of a disgrace this season. Dada still can’t help trolling his own team for their recent slide out of the top four though. Another example of top notch wordplay here.
Samuel pokes fun at Eric Bailly’s shenanigans after he conceded a skillful own goal vs Liverpool. Igo then contributes his own theory in the first comment of the thread. Bailly did stay on to help the successful bus par… er, erm.. I meant the successful defending of a one goal lead.
Manchester United fans, for some reason, seemed to find more joy in Salah not scoring than the 3 points they actually won. Of the numerous trolls about Salah, this was probably the most epic. Its not hard to imagine this is how Salah would have looked when he eventually stumbled out of Ashley Young’s pocket. Ragged and dishevelled.
And a close runner up to the preceding troll is this one from JustKidding featuring a cute kid. The fact that it is in Pidgin English adds a bit of spice to the Liverpool pepper-soup.
Deeney had a chance to stop Petr Cech from reaching 200 Premier League clean sheets. All he needed to do was step up and show he had the balls to score a simple penalty. Soji sums up the delight of many fans (including non-Arsenal fans like himself) who got the chance to destroy Troy after the miss.
That brings us to the end of another edition of ‘Trolls of the Week’. Join us next time for more witty people with no pity. Goodbye.
Oladimeji Sapoloso.
